Yes. The Free plan requires no credit card and no expiry date. You get a working POS, up to 100 products, and 1 staff account forever. Upgrade only when your business grows.
Does it work when there's no internet?
Yes. ShopOS is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that stores your data locally on the device. You can process sales, print receipts, and manage stock with zero internet. Data syncs to the cloud automatically when connectivity returns.
How does MTN MoMo payment work?
When a customer pays via MoMo, they send money to your registered MoMo number. ShopOS records the payment and marks the sale as paid instantly. For online orders, customers pay directly from the catalogue link before delivery.
Do I need a computer or can I use my phone?
ShopOS works on any Android phone, iPhone, tablet, or desktop computer — all from your browser. No download, no installation. You can even install it as an app icon on your phone for quicker access.
Is my business data safe and private?
Yes. ShopOS is NITA-U compliant meaning your data is stored in Uganda and governed by Uganda's data protection regulations. Your business data is never sold or shared with third parties.
Can I use it for a pharmacy?
Yes. Pharmacy Mode has dedicated inventory settings for medicines including expiry tracking, batch numbers, and dispensing records. Tax reports are formatted for pharmaceutical compliance. Available on the Pro and Business plans.
